STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Young Writers Guild on Sunday released a collection of short story book ‘Sheen’ in a function held here at KL Sehgal Hall. The book was written by young author, Vinod Kumar. On the occasion, M.L Pandita Member Kashmir Sahitya Board Akademi, New Delhi, was the Chief Guest while Dr Aziz Hajni, Convenor Kashmir Sahitya Board Akademi, New Delhi was the Guest of Honour. A mechanical engineer by profession, Vinod Kumar is an emerging writer from J&K who apart from his professional duty, also devotes his leisure time to literature. This is his second book after ‘ Lal Ded- the Backbone of Kashmiri Culture” which was released in 2018. The welcome address was delivered by Kundan Paras and Rohit Bhat gave a brief introduction about the author. After the release of the book, a paper was presented by short story writer Avtar Hugami. A young girl Amisha Pandit read a story from the book. Ramesh Hangloo conducted the proceedings of the programme. Among others who were present included A.K Naz, R.L Jowhar, K.K Lidhoo, Satish, JN Sagar, BK Sanyasi, ML Maroof, Ashok Koul, Satosh Nadan, Suhasini and Pran Pandit.
