STATE TIMES NEWSSAMBA: Rajeshwar Singh Provincial Vice President YNC Jammu has flayed Geology and Minning department for stopping mining activities in Samba. While addressing media persons, Singh stressed upon the fact to make aware the government about the livelihood of people depending on the mining sector. “The illegal mining and restricted areas should be taken into consideration through proper channels and government must not turn blind eye towards those depending on the sector. The general extraction of mine mineral which includes sand, bazri etc should be allowed for extraction” Singh said. He further said that a huge chunk of people including tipper owners, tractor owners, JCB machine operators left jobless the vehicles they operate for the process turned into NPA in the banks with no means of earning the banks put pressure on these people for not paying the monthly installments. “These people finding themselves in doldrums after the complete ban on mining. Also the layman is suffering due to non availability of basic construction material which further halt the construction and other such developmental projects. In the interest of general public it is requested this matter should be taken into consideration with immediate effect” Singh said. Balbir Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Moti Ram, Satish Kumar and Vijay Kumar were also present.
