JAMMU: The quest for a technologically aware faculty base was satiated to a large extent on Friday by the online examination of Libre Office for spoken Tutorial Project of IIT Bombay which was held at YCET for the Department of Applied Sciences.
The spoken tutorial Project is developed by IIT Bombay and funded by MHRD.
Libre Office is a free and open-source office suite, a project of The Document Foundation. It uses the international ISO/IEC standard Open Document file format (ODF) as its native format to save documents for all of its applications.
Libre Office also supports the file formats of most other major office suites, including Microsoft Office, through a variety of import/export filters the staggering success rate made sure that amongst a total of eight participants all qualified the online test in the first attempt.
Er. B.R. Verma, Incharge Director YCET, congratulated the faculty for successful completion of online training organised by IIT Bombay.
He appreciated the efforts of Er Dinesh Gupta, Central Co-coordinator YCET for this achievement.
