STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Aradhana- a Ray of Hope, an NGO, conducted five workshops on menstrual hygiene to aware young girls regarding management of menstruation cycle in a hygienic way. The workshops were conducted by Founder of the Organisation, Monika Mitter in five Government schools comprising Government Girls Middle School Kot, Government Middle School Raipur, Government High School Raipur, Government Boys Middle School Kot and Government High School Kheri. On the occasion, the volunteers apprised the participants about necessary preparation for menstrual periods, nutrition during periods and basic exercises to get relief from pain during periods. They taught them importance of sanitary-kits over cloth and also cleared many myths regarding periods. During the workshop, free sanitary napkins were also distributed among girl students.
