Women deserve equitable treatment

Dear Editor,
In our democratic country, every woman has equal rights in terms of education, employment, social, economic and political leaderships. Despite all progress in art, literature, governance, science and technology, we have not been able to remove gender discrimination. Men still dominate women. Gender inequality fuels violence against women and results in power imbalance. Women should be treated with respect, bestowing on them equality and dignity as mothers and sisters. Both men and women are two sides of the coin of society.
