STATE TIMES NEWSTHAPKOUR: Considering the younger generation being increasingly drawn to narcotics, Vaishno College of Engineering (VCoE) on Friday organised a seminar in its premises. The students were warned of the ill effects of drug abuse and encouraged to come forward and report any such incidents to the police with the option of remaining anonymous. Vishal Singh, DSP, addressed the students about the adverse effects of drugs and how it eventually ruins life of youngsters. He explained about the other weapons of destruction such as smoking and alcoholism. His words of motivation were the need of the hour, as students at this age, tend to be attracted towards these lucrative venoms. The institution encourages such seminars and campaigns for the betterment of the students and to safeguard their future. The students took a pledge to stay at bay from drugs and alcoholism and work sincerely towards building their future.
