State Times NewsUDHAMPUR: In broad day light murder case of a youth, police has arrested two accused and seized weapon of offence on their disclosure. Giving details Sujit Kumar Singh, DIG U-R Range said that on July 2, 2020, information was received at Police Station Udhampur that some unknown persons have committed murder of Rahul Bhagat, son of Subash Chander, resident of Dandyal, Tehsil and Distt. Udhampur with sharp-edged weapon and body was lying in the pool of blood. In this regard, a case was registered at Police Station Udhampur and investigation of the case was taken up. “During the course of probe, a party of Police Station Udhampur under the supervision of Rajinder Singh Katoch Incharge SSP Udhampur and Dr. Rohit Chadgal DySP Hqrs. Udhampur detained some suspected persons. During sustained interrogation, one among them namely Manish Singh, son of Madan Singh, resident of W.No.21, Dandyal confessed that he along with his associate namely Mohd. Aslam, son of Nawab Din, resident of Jojra Talab, Udhampur had murdered the deceased with the sharp edged weapon over a land dispute”, informed the DIG U-R Range. “On his disclosure, the weapon of offence (one knife) has been recovered from the bushes near Londana Morh Udhampur and the blind murder case has been solved within 24 hours. The motive behind this murder case was land dispute. Further investigation of the case is going on”, he added.
