SRINAGAR: Kulgam Police solved livestock theft case reported at Police Station Qazigund and arrested two persons involved in the commission of crime. Stolen livestock have also been recovered by the officers.
Police Station Qazigund received a complaint from Rameem
Mandher (Nomad), resident of Kotwal Chali, Rajouri that some unknown persons have
stolen his sheep.
Subsequently, case FIR No. 158/2020 under relevant sections
of law was registered in Police Station Qazigund and further investigation was
set into motion.
During the course of
investigation, investigating team headed by D.O PP Mirbazar under the
supervision of SDPO Qazigund arrested Owais Ahmad Khanday, resident of Danew
Bougund Kulgam. Officers were able to recover stolen sheep worth lakhs on his
disclosure in the cowshed of Imtiyaz Ahmad Parray, resident of Bhan Ashmuji
Kulgam. Both the accused persons have been arrested and shifted to Police
Station where they remain in custody. Officers also learnt about the use of an
Auto bearing registration number JK18B-4514 in the commission of crime and
subsequently the same was seized.
