JAMMU: A team from Narwal Police arrested two drug peddlers with 14 kg Poppy straw (Bhukki) on Tuesday.
The Police team headed by SHO Naveen Angral I/C PP Narwal under the supervision of Incharge SSP Jammu Rajiv Panday, SP South Udhay Bhaskar and SDPO East Mohd Rafiq Manhas intercepted a truck coming from Srinagar bearing registration No JK02AE-1684.
During checking two persons identified as Mohd Javed son of Mohd Bashir Ahmed resident of Silla, district Reasi and Raj Kumar son of Prem Singh resident of RS Pura were arrested with 14 kg Bhukki.
The accused have been booked under FIR 219/15 under section 8/15 NDPS at Police Station Bahu Fort.
Meanwhile the police two absconders identified as Ravi Kumar son of Vishwanath resident of Odisha at present Ramzanpura Janipur wanted in FIR 44/13 under section 341/323 RPC and Kapil Sharma son of Kamal Sharma resident of Rehari Colony wanted in FIR 18/2009 under section 294 RPC who were evading arrest for the last two to six years.
