Two drown in separate incidents in Kashmir

Srinagar:- Two persons including a minor girl drowned in separate incidents in Kupwara district of north Kashmir, police said today.

The girl, Nasreena, got drowned in a canal near her house at Nagri village last evening, a police spokesman said.

In another incident, Owais Yousuf Lone (19) drowned while taking bath in a lake at Surigam village in Lolab, the spokesman said.

The bodies of the deceased were fished out and handed over to their families for last rites after completion of legal formalities, he said.
