STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: A two-day training programme on ‘Public Fund Management System (PMFS)’ organized by Government Polytechnic Jammu concluded here on Friday. The training programme was conducted in collaboration with Ministry of Women and Child Development. Manjari, Senior Programme Coordinator, Child India Foundation addressed the inaugural session and spoke about Child India Foundation. She explained that Child Line India Foundation is a nodal agency of Ministry of Women and Child Development for implementing childline projects all over India. In J&K, the Foundation has 14 functional units working for the welfare of children. Arun Bangotra, Principal, Government Polytechnic, Jammu, emphasised the importance of such workshops as very crucial for all round development of society and making them aware of Childline India foundation which is India’s first 24-hour emergency outreach service for children in need of care and protection. G.M Bhat, Joint Director, Technical Education (ITI Section) said that PFMS is a platform for e-payment of subsidy under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to both Aadhar based and Non- Aadhar based bank accounts through NPCI. On first day of the workshop, the resource person Rahit Tickoo enlightened the audience about the PFMS portal registration and online transaction of Govt funds for NGO’s. On the second day of the workshop, Viney Dhar was the resource person who enlightened the audience about DBT Module, Bulk Customization, Beneficiary Add, Initiate Payments, Print Payment Advice, Activate Bank Account Number for E- Payment and Upload Beneficiary Data. All the Principals, ITI Superintendents, faculty, officials from Child India Foundation and students were present in the session. Zia ul Haq Kohli, Head of Department, Department of Computer Engineering & IT said that the purpose of this system is to track and monitor fund disbursement and utilization under Plan Schemes on real time basis. Aejaz Farooq, Faculty Computer Engineering Department presented vote of thanks.
