STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Traders Federation Ware House-Nehru Market Jammu on Tuesday launched a drive to conduct thermal screening of all labourers, employees and traders working in the Mandi. Pertinent to mention here that a day before, a labourer of Ware House was reported COVID-19 positive. The camp was organised under the supervision of Rattan Lal Gupta, President Traders Federation Ware House-Nehru Market, wherein thermal screening of a number of labourers was done on first day of the camp. According to General Secretary of Federation, Deepak Gupta, “Testing corona positive of a labourer working in Ware House, resulted in a panic among workers and traders. As a precautionary measure, the Mandi remained closed on Monday and was sanitised by Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). On Tuesday, the Federation took the initiative of holding thermal screening of all labourers and shopkeepers. The Federation is taking every precautionary step to ensure that no worker or businessman gets infected.” Gupta further said that workers, employees and traders are being examined from time to time. Expressing gratitude towards Commissioner JMC, Avni Lavasa for her cooperation in sanitisation of Ware House-Nehru Market, Gupta said that all necessary measures are being taken for safety of labourers, employees, traders and residents of Jammu city to prevent spread of coronavirus. On the occasion, free face masks and sanitisers were also distributed among labourers, employees and traders of Ware House-Nehru Market. Others present on the occasion included Sr Vice President Dheeraj Gupta, Vice President Munish Mahajan, Secretary Abhimanyu Gupta and Cashier Vishal Gupta.
