STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Toddlers’ World, a unit of JK Public School Kunjwani, on Wednesday celebrated Green Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The young kids came to school dressed in pretty green attires and looked eco-friendly. The classrooms were beautifully decorated in green theme and all the green objects from their surroundings were brought to the class rooms. The motive behind was to convey to the young minds that one should not cut trees rather must plant more and more trees. Also, kids were introduced to various shades of green. They also identified and named various fruits and vegetables which are green in colour. To mark the day more special, kids actively participated in various activities like making trees with paper, cards with their hands dipped in green colour under the title “Green Day Craft” and bubbling with verve in their astonishing green costumes they learnt how to keep their environment pollution free. The little ones created pleasant, harmonious and refreshing aura by stepping forward with confidence to deliver speeches and enactment on the significance of the day showing their respect towards mother Earth. “It was indeed an invigorating and rejuvenating experience where the minds of these young kids were enlightened with such innovative and self learning ideas as how to save the mother Earth,” said, Coordinator Toddlers’ World, Shivangani, who was an active participant in the entire activity. Also, she encouraged her team to organise such activities for young kids to make them more responsible towards their environment.
