STATE TIMES NEWS RAMBAN/KATHUA: Police on Wednesday nabbed three narco smugglers and recovered approx 96 grams of heroin and 10 kg of poppy straw from their possession. As per the details, on specific information from a reliable source, a party of Police Station Ramsoo during Naka checking, intercepted one truck (JK02BW 2887) for checking. During checking of said vehicle, approx 96 grams of heroin and 10 kg of poppy straw was recovered from it. The accused persons namely Ramesh Kumar, son of Kaka Ram, resident of Udhampur and Jeevan Singh, son of Gusha Ram, resident of Ramban were arrested on spot and a case vide FIR No. 45/2020 under section 8/15/21/22 NDPS Act was registered against them at Police Station. The arrest was made by Dr Sumit Sharma, DySP (Prob) SHO Ramsoo under the supervision of Ashish Gupta, SDPO Banihal, Sanjay Parihar, Addl SP Ramban and Haseeb Ur Rehman, SSP Ramban. KATHUA: A team of Police Station Kathua led by SHO Police Station Kathua during patrolling/Naka checkpoint at Bhagthali apprehended a notorious drug peddler coming from Punjab on his Motor Cycle (PB08-4595) towards Kathua. He was signalled to stop the bike and during his checking heroin like substance recovered from his illegal possession. The accused namely Vishal Kumar, son of Roshan Lal, resident of Ward No 05 Parliwand Kathua is a notorious drug peddler and was going to sell it among the youths of the area. Police registered a case vide FIR No. 133/2020 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act against the accused.
