State Times News JAMMU: Police on Thursday nabbed three drug peddlers and recovered heroin from their possession. As per the details, a party of Police Station Gangyal /Police Post Greater Kailash during Naka checking at Greater Kaliash intercepted one person who was coming from Fowera Chowk to Greater Kaliash Chowk on scooty without number plate. On questioning the said person disclosed his name as Mandeep Singh alias Mannu, son of Jaswant Singh, resident of Karan Bagh Gadigarh. After frisking, 15 gm heroin like substance and Rs 20,000 cash was recovered from his possession. He was arrested and a case vide FIR No 143/2019 under section 8/21/22/NDPS ACT was registered against him. It is pertinent to mention that the said person was absconding in case vide FIR No.386/19 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act of Police Station Nagrota and his arrest was made by In-Charge Police Post Greater Kaliash SI Rohit Gandhi and SHO Gangyal Insp. Sunil Singh Jasrotia. Meanwhile, during intervening night of December 11-12, 2019, a Naka was laid by police party headed by In-Charge Police Post Talab Tillo SI Kalicharan. During Naka checking near Rajpura Chungi, police intercepted a car (JK02CC/3604) and during checking of driver and his associate 8 gm heroin was recovered. The duo indentified as Sunny Raina, son of Omkar Nath Raina, resident of Vishal Nagar, Talab Tillo, Jammu and Rohit Singh, son of Mohan Singh, resident of Sundar Nagar, Talab Tillo, Jammu were arrested and vehicle seized. A case vide FIR no. 176 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act was registered against them at Police Station Nowabad.
