STATE TIMES NEWSSAMBA/BISHNAH: Police on Tuesday arrested three bootleggers and recovered 152 bottles of illicit liquor from their possession.As per details, a party from Police Station Samba led by SHO Rajesh Jasrotia, while performing patrolling duty at Main Bazar Samba, intercepted a person who was moving under suspicious circumstances. While frisking, 52 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from his possesion.The accused, identified as Salakhan Singh, son of Bachiter Singh, resident of Rara, Ramgarh, was involved in illicit liquor trade in the area.He was arrested on the spot and a case vide FIR No. 214/2020 under Section 48 (A) of Excise Act was registered against him at Police Station Samba.Meanwhile, a Police party from Police Station Bishnah headed by Insp Tahir Yousaf Khan, SHO Bishnah under supervision of Shabir Khan SDPO R S Pura and close supervision of SP Hqrs Jammu Raja Adil Hamid, laid a surprise Naka at KC Morh, Bishnah.During checking, the team intercepted two persons on suspicious grounds. When subjected to frisking, 100 bottles (180 ml each) of illicit liquor were recovered from their possession. The accused persons, identified as Himat Ram, son of Kala Ram, resident of village Kothey Chorli Tehsil Bishnah and Ladi Kumar, son of Mohinder Pal, resident of Gurdaspur (Punjab), at present Kothey Chorli Tehsil Bishnah, were arrested on the spot and a case vide FIR No. 133/2020 under Section 48 (A) of Excise Act has been registered against them at Police Station Bishnah.
