STATE TIMES NEWSJAMMU: A group of 36 students pursuing MBA Finance from The Business School, Jammu University on Tuesday visited the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Bahu Plaza, Jammu as part of an educational and recreational programme to gain in depth knowledge of the banking system in India and practical understanding of the core functions of RBI. Rakesh Raina, AGM briefed the students about the core functions of RBI and made them familiar with the banking hall where new currency is issued to the people. Shekhar Choudhary, DGM, Issue Department briefed the students about the complete journey of currency from printing till shredding. An interaction session was held later in the conference hall wherein Inzar Talib, Manager gave a presentation on digitization. It was succeeded by an interaction with Sandeep Mittal, GM, HRMD who briefed to the students about the banking structure in India and the risks involved. The last presentation was given by A.B Dutta, DGM, DCBS/DNBS who briefed about the non-banking financial sector in India and its importance. The visit was organized by Faculty In-charge, Dr Amisha Gupta, Senior Professor and was accompanied by Garima Kohli, Lecturer for the purpose of providing out of the classroom real-time experience to the students pursuing finance.
