STATE TIMES NEWS LEH: Ladakh students associations under the banner of Students’ Organisations for Unified Ladakh (SOUL) took out a rally seeking Sixth Schedule for Ladakh. The rally culminated at main market where presidents, executives and various presidents of different students organisation expressed disappointment over lack of participation of people, even though students stood up for welfare of people of Union Territory of Ladakh by demanding constitutional safeguards to protect Ladakh’s identity. SOUL President stressed that all should come in one umbrella and fight for rights of Ladakh. He urged public to come forward to support students for a better Ladakh. He also questioned District administration for not allowing students to put up their tent for strike. Tsering Wangyal, SOUL member urged people to support student and to cooperate as students are not protesting for their own benefit but for the welfare for whole Ladakh. President Student Union Nubra Stanzin Chosphel also spoke on the occasion. On the occasion, students vowed to take forward the movement till a logical decision in this regard is taken by the Government.
