The Tevar actress recounts her experience from Rajinikanth’s Lingaa audio launch event. After making a name for herself in Bollywood, the Dabangg gal Sonakshi Sinha is all set to make her Tamil debut with Rajinikanth’s much anticipated film Lingaa. With just over two weeks left before grand release of Lingaa, an excited Sona shared her overwhelming experience at her Tamil film’s audio launch.
“I have never seen that kind of craze and hysteria for anyone else. There were about 25 people – big directors, actors and technicians, everybody came on stage and spoke in Tamil.
The audience was really enjoying themselves. I went up on the stage and was thinking,”Oh God, who will clap for this new girl?”
So I introduced myself as the superstar’s heroine and the entire house erupted into applause. The kind of love and respect they have for Rajinikanth is amazing”, said Tevar star.
“It was a humbling experience. I felt like a newcomer all over again”, added Sonakshi. Over the last few years, B-town babes like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Deepika Padukone have romanced Rajinikanth onscreen.
Fighting for screen space in Lingaa with established actress like Anushka Shetty, can Sona outshine the other Bollywood hotties and carve a name for herself in minds of audience as their favourite Rajinikanth’s heroine?
