SKUAST-J holds counseling for PG degree programmes

JAMMU: SKUAST-Jammu under the overall guidance of Prof. J.P. Sharma, Vice Chancellor conducted counseling for PG students who have qualified SKUAST-J CET 2020 (PG) for admission to first semester of Academic session 2020-21 on 16 and 17 October, 2020.
The admissions are being held for professional masters programme in 14 different disciplines in Agriculture Sciences including Biotechnology, 16 disciplines in Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, four disciplines in Basic Sciences, two disciplines in Agricultural Engineering and in the discipline of forestry.
The counseling for allotment of seats has been done as per the current regulations of J & K (UT) on reservation of seats to different notified categories.
The students from other states including Punjab, Rajasthan, HP and Haryana have been given admission under All India self finance quota. It is pertinent to mention that seats under All India Quota to be filled by Indian Council of Agricultural Research and Veterinary Council of India are still vacant.
These seats shall be filled by these two statutory bodies after the declaration of results by National Testing Agency.
The counseling committee was head by Prof. S.K. Gupta, Director Education & Chairman. The other member of counseling committee included Prof. Sushil Sharma, Prof. R.K. Sharma, Prof. Rajinder Peshin, Prof. Ajay Gupta, Prof. R.K. Salogtra, Dr. Manmohan Sharma, Dr. Subhash C. Kashyap, Dr. Ramphool Puniya. The Counseling committee was assisted by Computer and IT staff.
