State Times NewsSAMBA: District Police Samba, acting tough against violation of restrictions, booked 6 shop owners in territorial jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur.Acting on reliable information, regarding opening of shops beyond relaxation hours, a team from Police Station Vijaypur registered 2 FIRs against 6 Grocery/ Karyana shop owners for keeping their shops open beyond permitted time-slot. A FIR No. 164/2020 under sections 188 & 269 of IPC and 51(B) of Disaster Management Act was registered against the shopkeepers, who were identified as Sanket Sharma, son of Subash Chander, resident of Dera Gandotra Jakh; Surinder Kumar, son of Janak Raj, resident of Dera Gandotra Jakh; Mukesh Sharma, son of Brahm Dutt Lal, resident of Dera Gandotra Jakh and Kulbhushan Kumar, son of Maggar Ram, resident of Dera Gandotra Jakh.Meanhwhile FIR No. 165/2020 under Sections 188 & 269 of IPC and 51(B) of Disaster Management Act was registered against two Karyana shop owners at Gurha Morh Vijaypur namely Shiv Shamboo, son of Thoru Ram, resident of Amowal and Sukhbinder Singh, son of Rajinder Singh, resident of Ward No. 08 Vijaypur. The crackdown on violators will continue to ensure safety of people besides preventing spread of COVID-19. Police has urged people to follow COVID-19 protocols/ SOPs and abide by restriction orders issued by competent authorities strictly.
