JAMMU: Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) discussed various problems being faced by unit holders for getting procession of land allotted by J&K SIDCO in Balol Industrial Estate.
In a meeting held here on Wednesday, Lalit Mahajan, President BBIA said that J&K SIDCO has taken up the matter with the Deputy Commissioner Samba on August 13, 2016 for preparation of Revenue documents of 200 Kanals of land along Balol Nallah.
Mahajan said that it is a matter of concern that in some cases, J&K SIDCO has taken full premium of land and even advance rent of two years for the land, which is yet not in possession of the Corporation. In such cases, the Estate Office of J&K SIDCO Bari Brahmana has expressed its helpless for handing over the possession of land due to non-availability of land documents, thereby creating a sense of uncertainty among unemployed youth of J&K who have invested their hard earned money or borrowed loans for setting-up the units and are paying huge amounts as interest, he added.
The association members appealed to the Governor Satya Pal Malik to resolve the issue on priority basis and direct the concerned for handing over the aforesaid land to unit holders for setting up their units, with directions to Managing Director, J&K SIDCO to pay interest on the rent collected from unit holders for the land, which is yet not handed over to them.
