State Times NewsJAMMU: Shiv Sena J&K unit staged a protest on Thursday against the Central Government for not showing serious concern towards unemployment, economic slowdown and unbridled inflation. A number of Shiv Sainiks, led by J&K President Manish Sahni, assembled outside the Party Office, Channi Himmat and raised slogans against the central government. Talking to reporters, Sahni emphasised that after unemployment and economic downturn, inflation is making troubles for common masses. Sahni said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also not shown its concern about aforesaid issues and is maintaining a silence. Media also has not highlighting these issues and seems not in a mood to counter Government on these issues, which is a matter of great concern, he added. Sahni said that with unemployment and inflation, the central government is proving to be a complete failure in overcoming economic recession. “GDP is dusting with a figure of – 23.9, people are losing their jobs, price of common essential items including potatoes, onions, tomatoes etc. are sky-rocketing. The number of corona positive cases is touching one lakh per day, but probably Government is not considerate about all these issues,” he said. Sahni appealed to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to intervene into the matter and take positive steps to resolve aforesaid issues so that common masses may not face more inconvenience in near future. Others present on the occasion included President Women Wing Meenakshi Chibber, Working President Ashwini Gupta, General Secretary Vikas Bakshi, Secretary Raj Singh, Women Vice President Sofia Sagu, Sanjeev Sudan, Geeta Rani, Mangu Ram, Rajesh Handa and Dimple.
