State Times NewsJAMMU: As part of ongoing ‘Sewa Saptah’ initiative, J&K BJP Vice President, Yudhvir Sethi on Tuesday launched a plantation drive at Bikram Chowk area of Jammu East Constituency.The plantation driver has been initiated in connection with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday which is observed as ‘Seva Saptah’ from September 14 to 20.Several social initiatives will be undertaken by the party leaders across the nation during this week-long period.While speaking during tree plantation drive organized by Parveen Kerni, President BJP East Mandal, Yudhvir Sethi said that trees were a gift and boon of nature and their preservation and conservation was essential.He said that plantation drive could save and balance the environment and urged the people to actively participate in plantation drive, promoting the agenda and follow it after sapling the plants.Sethi called upon the people to be part of the drive and contribute to the cause of preserving environment by planting trees in their surroundings.Among others who were present included Sunil Dogra, Hari Om Sharma, Adarsh Jathiar, Praveen Kerni, Ashok Lambad, Sub. Retd Gurcharan Singh, Vipan Sharma, Sudhir Anand, Suresh Bharti, Harvinder Singh and Robin Mehra.
