STATE TIMES NEWS HIRANAGAR: To create awareness among people about the importance of trees the members of Satyam Foundation Trust under the leadership of Former MLC Subash Gupta carried out plantation drive in Hiranagar on Thursday. A large number of local youths including the team members participated in the plantation drive and planted about 200 plants of various varieties including Arjun, Neem, Mango, Jamun, Aamla and evergreen plants across Hiranagar Morh to Hiranagar town link Road. Those who participated in the plantation drive include Murari Lal, Narinder Rathore, Parveen Bhagat, Yash Paul Singh, Som Nath Verma, Ruldhu Ram, Master Sat Paul Sharma, Bunty Sharma, Romesh Kundal, Ram ji Dass, Banarsi Dass, Parmjeet Singh, Nitta Sharma and Surat Sharma While expressing his views Subash Gupta said that increasing number of industries, emerging concrete jungles, and automobiles are causing lot of pollution, which is resulting into global warming affecting various forms of life on the earth. He said that change in climate has resulted in change in the seasons. Storms, cyclones, cloudburst etc are the result of the change in the climate. He appealed the representatives of Panchayats, religious and social organisations to aware the masses about this important issues for the safety and security of the coming generations.
