STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Former MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma on Sunday handed-over a Golden Card of Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance under National Health Protection Scheme (NHPS) to a beneficiary at Ward no 32, Talab Tillo in Jammu West Assembly constituency. The golden card was provided to a beneficiary named Shivam Sharma, who is three years old and suffering from kidney-related ailment. Sharma was accompanied by the District President BJP Ayodhya Gupta and other leaders, family members and local residents of the area. Speaking on the occasion, former MLA said that through this scheme, Shivam can avail necessary treatment from PGI Hospital, Chandigarh. He said Ayushman Bharat Health scheme has helped in providing benefit to millions of household since its launch throughout the country. This is the biggest health financing scheme in the world with an insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh, which will cover 10 crore poor families or almost 50 crore souls, he added. He stressed upon the need for spreading the scheme to every corner of State, so that the common masses can avail benefits of the scheme. District President Ayodhya Gupta thanked former MLA for his sincere efforts and assured the public that BJP is always available to serve the residents. He requested the BJP workers to assist the agency to reach out to masses for various welfare schemes. Others present on the occasion included Rajesh Gupta, Puneet Mahajan, Lovekesh Gondi, Rajesh Saini, Arun Dubey, Sunil Sarmal, Raj Saini and Amar Pal.
