Sports Reporter POONCH: International spiker from the State, who has turned professional, Saqlain Tariq has joined the ongoing month-long coaching camp, organised by Shaheed Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club, at Government Degree College Ground, here on Monday. “Saqlain’s presence would go a long way in encouraging those young boys from different parts of the State attending to the specialised camp at the border district. Saqlain’s success has encouraged a lot of youngsters in J&K in general and district Poonch in particular,” Chairman of the Shaheed Manjit Club, Mohd Tariq said. Earlier, Saqlain joined the young boys as one of the campers. However, he shared his experiences as a young volleyball player from the district. Besides encouraging words, Saqlain Tariq also imparted tips and replied to the queries during the two-hour coaching sessions. “For the remaining days of this month-long camp, Saqlain shall be part of the coaching sessions,” informed man behind the camp, Mohd Tariq.
