State Times News SAMBA: District Development Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria, convened an officers meeting regarding observance of Vasectomy Fortnight scheduled to start from November 24, 2019. The DDC directed the officials from different departments to coordinate with the health department to ensure the vasectomy fortnight is observed successfully in the district. It was informed in the meeting that the fortnight shall be observed in two phases including mobilization phase which will be held from 21st to 27th November 2019 in which field level workers will identify, sensitize and register the desirous eligible couple for vasectomy. Besides, various awareness activities will also be held by frontline workers, ANMs & ASHAs supported by Anganwadi Workers and PRI members in this phase. The second phase would be service delivery phase which will be held from 28th November to 4th December 2019 in which sterilization operation services will be provided in the facilities identified for the purpose i.e District Hospital Samba, EH Vijaypur and CHC Ramgarh. PO ICDS, Assistant Commissioner Development, District Panchayat Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Dy. Chief Medical Officer, Block Medical Officer Nud, Purmandal and Ramgarh attended the meeting.
