STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) (Badal) on Saturday demanded for reservation of assembly seats for Sikhs in Jammu and Kashmir. A meeting of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) was held telephonically under the chairmanship of Jathedar Mohinder Singh Party President. “The Sikh minority has always been neglected in Jammu and Kashmir even a commission set in the year 1932 by Maharaja had recommended for reserving one seat each from Jammu and Kashmir division for Sikh community in State legislature”, he said. SAD leaders welcomed the decision of setting up Delimitation Commission for Jammu and Kashmir and demanded that some assembly segments be kept reserved for Sikh community both in Jammu and Srinagar divisions.
