JAMMU: The State Administrative Council (SAC), headed by Governor Satya Pal Malik is scheduled to meet at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday.
The meeting assumes significance in the wake of completion of four phased Urban Local Bodies polls and upcoming Panchayat elections, announced amidst the boycott of National Conference and PDP.
Sources told STATE TIMES that the SAC will take a review of the preparations made for smooth conduct of Panchayat elections with special focus on security arrangements to be put in place for instilling confidence and sense of security among the people.
The SAC will also take stock of various flagship projects, as the Governor is keen to have these completed within stipulated time-frame.
