STATE TIMES NEWSJAMMU: While welcoming announcement of a relief package of Rs 1,350 crore for revival of businesses in J&K, Citizen’s Forum on Sunday said that is not economic package but just a small help from J&K UT.In a press statement issued here, President Citizen’s Forum R K Chadha said that an amount of Rs 1,200 per person can’t improve absolutely finished businesses in J&K due to militancy, abrogation of 370 Art and thereafter corona pandemic. “We have already given our views to Business Promotion Committee that J&K business revival needs huge funds. That is why Rs 80,000 crore package was announced by the center after evaluating totally failed business and development conditions of erstwhile J&K State. Out of which, the elected Government could spend only Rs 35,000 crore with major share being investigated by ACB, CBI and other agencies. We are not concerned with the past but requirements of present day are the main concern. We understand the depleted financial conditions and hence, once again, request that the business improvement of J&K can only be done by infusing a lot of money in hands of public to create demand and sale of business. The businesses can be improved if workable suggestions are accepted and implemented,” he asserted.
