STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Roots-the Montessori House celebrated Sports Day with zeal and fervour. The Sports Meet was based on theme ‘Health is Wealth’. A health tree, a dental board with healthy and decayed tooth and a jungle scene showing a lot of endangered animals were on display depicting healthy life practices. The children completed the boards through the activities done in the races. The event included rabbit race, hurdle race, side race, lemon race, and sack race involving activities pertaining to staying healthy like matching good food with healthy tooth, junk food with decayed tooth and putting up images that completed the health tree chart showing simple ways to stay healthy. Cycling was also done by the children as a way to keep environment healthy and as a form of exercise. The children also displayed yoga Asana and karate moves in the event. Children from English for life also spoke about climate change and dinosaur extinction. The parents also got the chance to have some fun doing an activity together. All the children were given medals of appreciation. In the end, the sports meet concluded with the graduation ceremony of Mont 3 children who were presented with the certificates by the Principal Avneet Aulakh of Roots-The Montessori House.
