JAMMU: RM Public School, Jammu on Wednesday celebrated fourth sports day-cum-prize distribution function amidst great zeal, enthusiasm and frolic.
Dr. Saleem-Ur-Rehman, Director of Youth and Sports Services was the Chief Guest on the occasion, while Basant Rath, IGP Home Guard presided over the function.
S.K Jain-Yoga Commissioner J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides, Kanwaljeet Singh first Ranji trophy winner and Ram Singh Slathia-Everester were the Guests of Honour.
All the students from all the wings participated in the event.
All the guests and parents were welcomed by the Trustee Rita Mengi and Chairman Rameshwar Mengi along with Principal Ravinder Komar.
The programme started with the lighting of flambeau by the sports person.
The students of different houses presented the march past with great enthusiasm and took the oath.
Students displayed a wide array of colourful and reverberant events such as yoga, races, skates and dances of various varities.
Chief Guest along with presiding guest and Guests of Honour distributed trophies, appreciation certificates and cheques of Rs 1,000 to the meritorious students. They also distributed medals and appreciation certificates to the winners who excelled in sports activities outside the school. The vote of thanks was presented by Chairman Rameshwar Mangi and trustee Rita Mengi.
