STATE TIMES NEWS BILLAWAR: Former Minister and Senior Congress leader Dr Manohar Lal Sharma on Wednesday asserted that SRO 202 of the UT government is sheer mockery and betrayal with the youth of the state as both are against the Supreme courts direction and labour laws that says “Equal wages for equal work” and requested the LG government to quash the same for the betterment of the youth and employed section and daily wagers. He said SRO-202 which was brought by BJP- PDP Govt when late Mufti Mohammad Syed was the Chief Minister of the erstwhile state, which states that the new entrants in the government departments will have to stay under probation for initial 5 years before being confirmed as permanent employees, and termed it as anti-Youth policy in the state named SRO 202 which has put the youth into mental trauma. The youth after studying so hard gets into govt jobs but are left with no option but to drink the poison of such a draconian policy. Further he stated besides, as per the SRO-202, the new government employees will not be granted allowances like House Rent Allowance (HRA), Dearness Allowance (DA), Transport Allowance (TA) etc given to the all other employees as per the service rules. Manohar further said that every youth recruited under this policy is not at mental peace as they are devoid of their right to have a dignified life, a dignified job and a dignified reputation. This is affecting their performance and their career harshly. Manohar appealed the LG administration to revoke this draconian rule for the larger benefit of the government departments and of the society.
