STATE TIMES NEWSMENDHAR: The residents of village Harni have appealed to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Poonch to restore 8 kanals of encroached land to Government Girls High School Harni in Tehsil Mendhar. According to the villagers, the school was having a land of 25 kanals and 9 Marlas in Khasra No 182 of village Harni out of which the school is left with only 17 Kanals and 6 Marlas of land and 8 kanals and 3 Marlas of land has been encroached by the land grabbers. The villagers requested the DC Poonch to depute a team of Revenue Department to carry out demarcation of the land in Khasra No 182 and the encroached land be restored to the school. The villagers also requested that after restoring the school land, a boundary wall be constructed so that the girls could actively take part in the sports, besides the education. Among those who spoke on the occasion include Babu Ghulam Hussain, Nazim Khan, Tazeem Khan and Muhammad Sadiq Chaudhry Panch.
