Relation of US elections with COVID vaccine

Whether it coincidence or not debatable, but after former US President Donald Trump’s defeat in the hands of Democrat’s Joseph Robinette Biden Jr,, in the US President election,within two days Pfizer Inc and BioNTech SE CEO AlbertBourla had said that the coronavirus vaccine they have developed has prevented more than 90% of infections after it was tested on tens of thousands ofvolunteers as a part of a study and hoped that “The first set of results from our Phase III COVID-19 vaccine trials the initial evidence of our vaccine’s ability to prevent Covid-19.” Immediately, the US President Donald Trump accused the US Food and Drug Administration and drugmanufacturer Pfizer of withholding the announcement on COVID-19 vaccine ahead of the presidential elections in the country to deny him a ‘vaccine win’. One has to understand US President Trump’s face saving grievances. But unable to understand why the people of India gaga over Pfizer’s announcement? One should think when we the people of India without vaccines, 99:2% people did not fall victim to the COVID-19 and those who fall among them 93% recovered. Now, after the unlock when mostof the daily grind is back to normal. And that too people do not observe can social distancing and most of them do not wear masks and their washing hands often cannot be said as they follow all that. Even after those lacunas our infection rate is steadily declining. Hence, how one accepts that, the Pfizer’s calling the efficacy of the vaccine as 90% effective does not bring any glow to the Aam Aadmi’s face.
