STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Red Ribbon Club of Stephens Institute of Paramedical Sciences Jammu in collaboration with J&K State AIDS Control Society Jammu, Blood Transfusion Department Government Medical College Jammu and Regional Red Cross Society Jammu organized the Blood Donation Camp here on Wednesday at Red Cross Attendant Sarai Maheshpura Chowk Jammu. The objective of the camp was to propagate the significance of blood donation in saving lives and to generate awareness about the need of donating blood. The theme for blood donation camp was ‘Donate blood, Save Life & Universal Access to Safe Blood Transfusion’. Thirty-six students of Stephens Institute of Paramedical Sciences voluntary donated blood with great enthusiasm. The faculty members of Stephens Institute of Paramedical Sciences Jammu who donated blood were Rajni Sharma Assistant Prof SIPS and Gurneet Kour, Nursing Tutor, SIPS. Sonam Sharma, Nodal Officer Red Ribbon Clib SIPS and Ritu Gupta Assistant Prof & Activity Incharge SIPS took keen initiative in organizing this camp. Manoj Kotru, Advisor SIPS appreciated the students for their sincere contribution towards the society by donating their blood. Dr Kamal Saini, Chairman SIPS, Satvinder Saini Director, SIPS and Manoj Kotru extended their gratitude to Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Rather, Project Director, J&K State AIDS Control Society for his support for making the event successful.
