STATE TIMES NEWS Ramban: To review progress of banking sector in deposits and advances Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan convened a District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting of banking and civil departments officers besides confirming the minutes of last meeting formulated by the Lead Bank Ramban. The meeting was attended by ADDC. Nawab Din, Manager RBI, Rahul Sharma, Lead District Manager, Shakeel Ahmed Bhat, Director RSETI Subash Chander, DGM-NABARD, Arushi Sharma, CAO, CHO, GM DIC, AD Employment, DSHO, bankers and others officers of line departments. DDC released a Potential Linked Credit Plan, for 2020-21 for district Ramban. During the meeting implementation of KCC scheme was prominently discussed and DDC directed the bankers to provide Kisan Credit Card (KCC) to all the farmers especially registered under PM KISAN scheme in district for achieving targets. It was informed in the meeting that up to December 2019, an amount of 1426.98 crore has been recorded in the deposit and 606.12 crore in the advance sector and the CD Ratio of district has been increased by 1.62% and stands on 42.47 per cent. While reviewing CD ratio registered by different banks in the district, DDC directed the bankers to redouble their efforts and initiate concrete steps for lending towards these sectors to achieve 100% targets besides improving the CD ratio of the district from 42.47% to national target of 60%. He directed the bankers to focus more on rural areas for 100% financial inclusion of masses besides providing banking facilities at their door steps. During the meeting threadbare discussion was held on the centrally sponsored schemes under which loans are provided to the beneficiaries for operating income generating units. DDC directed the bankers to provide loans under MUDHRA, Atal Pension Yojna besides effectively implementing PMJDY, PMJJY, PMSBY, PMAPY and other financial assistance schemes to people for establishing their business units. He directed all the banks to take effective measures for ensuing small loans especially in agriculture, education and employment sector so that majority of the population would be facilitated under various schemes besides providing KCC to the farmers.
