JAMMU: Prof S.K Khosa, Professor in Department of Physics and Astronomical Sciences, Central University of Jammu (CUJ) received a research project entitled ‘Comprehensive Theoretical Study of Nuclear Structure of Nuclei with A 70’ worth Rs 18 lakhs from Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Government of India.
The aforesaid project is sanctioned under Extra Mural Research (EMR-II) Scheme of CSIR for a period of three years. Department of Physics and Astronomical Sciences (DoPAS), CUJ, in addition, is executing research projects to the tune of Rs 1.25 crores. This marks the beginning of setting up of an active research group in the field of theoretical nuclear physics which is also having collaboration with nuclear theory group of Department of Physics of University of Jammu headed by Prof. Arun Bharti.
Vice Chancellor, CUJ, Prof Ashok Aima congratulated Prof Khosa for bringing this project to CUJ. He appreciated the efforts of senior faculty members who are actively engaged in research activities and taking the university to the new heights in the field of academics and research.
It is important to acknowledge the efforts of Dr. Vinay Kumar, Head, DoPAS, CUJ for providing all the support, encouragement and facilities for writing the project.
