State Times NewsHIRANAGAR: In an effort to connect with people of Jat Biradari living in far flung areas, Ch. Manmohan Singh President All India Jat Maha Sabha (AIJMS) J&K and his team toured border area of Hiranagar, Tehsil Madeen. During this tour, he held meeting at several locations which were attended by all the residents. Ch. Manmohan Singh said that by visiting places where Jats reside, or even a single Jat family resides, he is trying to connect all the Jats of J&K with each other. “When united we people will be strong and in our strength lies the courage to face and deal with our issues. For this all of us should maintain communication with other members of our Biradari” he said. He asked the people present there to form a committee from members amongst them. The locals unanimously selected Ch. Subash chander of Sanji Morh as Tehsil President AIJMS Madeen and Rahul Choudhary as Youth President AIJMS Madeen. In another meeting held at village Chann Katriyan, people chose Ajeet Choudhary as their village President AIJMS and Dhara Singh as Youth President AIJMS. Ch.Manmohan Singh asked the people to form such committees at every village and asked these committees to perform their duties well. He said that being chosen as a representative of the Biradari is a very proud feeling but it entails a lot of dedicated work for our people. Ch.Manmohan Singh lauded Governor Satyapal Malik, who he credits for initiating the process of scrapping of Article 370 and 35A, thus bringing our state the status as rest of India. He also thanked him for granting RBA to border residents. Choudhary said that he believes that with the efforts of Governor, we will soon get the benefit of OBC category too, which Governor assured the AIJMS delegation led by himself few months ago. Ch.Manmohan Singh requested Governor to grant the category terms in par with the terms and conditions of the rest of states where Jats have been granted OBC status. Ch.Manmohan Singh and his team further visited villages Doulian Jattan, Chak Shaama, Sanji Morh, Dayala Chak and Chan Khatriyan. Ch Girdhari lal, Ch Diwan singh, Capt. Om singh, Ch Janak Raj, Ch. joginder singh, Ch Sohan Singh Sarpanch of Doulian jattan, Ch Saf Pal, Ch Kailash, Ch Darshan lal, Ch Satish and Ch. Subash Singh were also present.
