Poultry farm gutted, 1,800 chickens burnt

R S PURA: A poultry farm in village Satowali of Tehsil R S Pura caught fire in early morning the other day and was gutted. Over 1,800 chickens were burnt in the incident. The farm belongs to Amandeep Singh, son of Balbir Singh, resident of village Shatraiyan, R S Pura. Soon after receiving the information, the Police and Fire Brigade rushed to the spot and doused the fire, but by then it was completed gutted.
The locals have appealed to the Government to compensate the loss suffered by farm owner.
