State Times NewsJAMMU: To highlight long pending demands of PHE employees especially regularisation of daily wagers, the PHE Employees United Front convened a Press Conference on Monday. While addressing media, the PHE employee leaders said, “Commissioner Secretary of PHE/Irrigation and Flood Control Department, on behalf of administration, has made commitments with leaders of PHE Employees United front during Kaam Chod Hartal on February 24, 2020 for resolving all issues besides fulfilling all pending legitimate demands of PHE employees particularly regularisation of Daily Rated Workers who have served the department for more than 26 years, disbursement of wages, implementation of Central Minimum Wages Act in J&K etc. but even not a single demand of the workers has been fulfilled till date.”The senior leaders of PHE Employees United Front, who spoke on the occasion included Bhanu Sambyal, Ravi Hans, Hoshiar Singh, Binkel Manhas, Rajinder Singh Taj, Jyoti Kumar, Manjeet Singh, Vijay Singh, Mohan Lal, Rashpal Singh, Navdeep Singh and Rakesh Kumar. The leaders further said that they have nothing to do with the fresh and direct recruitment drive of the J&K administration as issue of Daily Wagers is totally different.
