NOWSHERA: Hundreds of PHE workers and temporary employees drawn from Sunderbani, Kalakote and Nowshera took out a protest rally which passed through main market Nowshera shouting slogans against the government for not releasing their wages and not bringing them on regular establishment. The protest was led by CP Workers Union Nowshera President Pushkar Raj Sharma.
While addressing the rally the speakers said that the government is continuously ignoring their genuine demands in spite of their repeated peaceful approaches and protests. They said that the department has not released their wages for over 45 months and have not followed their own SRO for their regularisation after completion of five years.
The protesters warned the department that if their demands including their wages and their regularisation are not acceded to, they will proceed on ‘Kaam Chhoro Hartal’. Prominent among those present in the rally included Ashok Kumar Sharma, Khaliq Mirza, Rajeev Datta, Prem Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Balwant Raj and Sunesh Kumar.
