Pedestrian held with 1 Kg poppy straw

Jammu: Police on Friday nabbed a pedestrian and recovered 1 Kg poppy straw from his possession. As per details, a team from Police Station Bus-stand led by SHO Insp J J Bhagat while on patrolling duty near Samrat Hotel, apprehended a person namely Vicky Sharma, son of Ashok Kumar, resident of Rajouri. On search of his belongings, 1 Kg poppy straw was recovered by Police. He was arrested and a case vide FIR No. 37 /2020 under Sections 8, 15 & 25 NDPS Act was registered against him at Police Station Bus-stand.
