One World: One Mankind

In the age of the Sputnik, one-world state is not a Utopia or an empty dream. It is fast becoming a reality. The League of Nations was a step forward towards it that failed. The UNO is another step to unite the world. This, too may fail and there may be a world war. But out of the ashes of Third World War, One-world State may be born.
Mankind is one human family known as Vasudev Kutumbakam in accordance with the Hindu mythology philosophical’s theory has proved to be a reality from its immemorial times and is very much applicable to this modern world.
Humanity is one brotherhood, though the ethnologists tell us that there are 20,000 races, sub-races and tribes. The globe is one, though the geographers have divided it into seven continents.
Each country is spending millions and billions on defence and military preparation. It has been calculated by the economists that if all the money spent on World War II were to be distributed equally among the 250 crore people of the globe, each man, each woman and each child would get Rs 30,000. If there is one World State there would be no armies and no wars and colossal sums would be spent on the good of the
people.
When India became free, there were about 600 princely states. Each had a separate army. Now all those states are part of India. There is one powerful central govt. under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and one army recognised by the world to be powerful. There are today 214 countries in the world having separate powerful armies of its own.
Mankind is one. The lines between different countries are drawn not by God but by man. Before 15th August, 1947 India and Pakistan were one country. They were partitioned under Radcliffe Award.
Today the world has became greater unions. For instance America is the United States of America. Russia is the Soviet Socialist Republics. England is the United Kingdom.
England and Scotland were warring with each other but Today they are one country. So, we should have a united state of the world.
In the olden days, man could not move from one country to another over long distances. Countries separated by natural barriers remained absolute strangers to each other. Similarly, nations widely separated remained completely in the dark about the doings of other nations. Therefore, the Earth appeared to be so immeasurably vast and varied.
In short, the world appeared to be peopled by different nations of human beings. The old historians, therefore, talked of the Greek world, the Hindu world, the Persian world the Roman world and so forth.
Geographically, the world conceives as the global earth is only one. Today, men move from continent to continent and have the opportunity of studying at first hand the civilisations of the different nations of the world.
There is no doubt about the fact that there are no pure races as such. The migrations of human races from one place to another, spread over millions of years, have resulted in intermingling and intermixture of human blood. It is only the accumulated influence of local geography and social traditions that have made one race one thing.
In a meeting of UNESCO held in Paris, a resolution was adopted and a manifesto announced in the world’s press that in the opinion of experts and informed people, the world is one and mankind is a single family.
Ours is an era of internationalism. There is no reason, therefore, that if proper atmosphere for one World is created, there can be a one -world state and a long, if not an eternal peace.
The conquest of the air has conquered time and space, making world so narrow and so small as to be grilled by a plane in just three days and by a Sputnik in an hour and a half.
I am of the opinion that it is the high time that all the countries of the world should shed their pride and foolishness and help in creating one World in which mankind should be one and a single United family.
In one World, India and China with a population of 300 crores would rule the roost. On the basis of One Man -One Vote, ours will be the biggest block of voters.
India being a Vishavguru could be able to help show its light to the world for the establishment of world peace on the basis of the principles of Vasudev Kutumbakam.
