STATE TIMES NEWSBHADARWAH: A 32-year-old man was killed and four other including two females were injured when the vehicle by which they were travelling skidded off the road and fell downhill into maize fields while negotiating a sharp curve near Poneja Village in Chiralla tehsil of Doda district on Thursday afternoon. According to reports, a Tata Sumo (JK17-1659) which was on its way to Chiralla from Bhella with 9 passengers, fell 50 ft downhill into maize fields near village Puneja as driver lost control over it on a steep hill curve. “Five of the injured including females were immediately shifted to GMC Doda, where doctors declared one of them as brought dead,” said SP Bhadarwah Raj Singh Gouria. The police identified the deceased as Javed Ahmed , 32, a native of village Doki Chirala. While other four injured passengers are responding well to the treatment. According to the police, the accident occurred around 2.45 pm. All the 9 passengers are native of Chirala.
