JAMMU: A Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Bansi Lal Bhat directed Director General Youth Services and Sports Department, Jammu to be present before in this Court to show-cause as to why he should not be punished for committing contempt of Court and for the delay in issuing appointment orders inspite of the appointment order issued in favour of the petitioners by the government.
This direction has been passed in a contempt petition filed by Sanjay Gupta and others in which Division Bench observed that the order of the Court dated 23rd April, 2001 has not been complied with by the 4th respondent inspite of appointment order in favour of petitioners by the 2nd respondent namely Commissioner/Secretary to Government, Technical Education/YSS Department.
Division Bench further observed that when the matter was posted on 10th March, 2015, counsel appearing on behalf of Director General Youth Services and Sports was directed to produce the appointment orders but the same has not been produced, hence the Director General Youth Services and Sports Department, Jammu is directed to be present before this Court to show cause as to why he should not be punished for committing contempt of this Court and for the delay in issuing appointment orders inspite of pleasing of the appointment order in favour of the petitioners by the Government.
