STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: National Awami United Party (NAUP), National President Sandeep Singh has strongly criticised Farooq Abdullah and his party National Conference’s deceitful move for rejecting and not participating in the delimitation exercise of Assembly and Parliamentary constituencies in Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir is very unfortunate step. Sandeep Singh said that delimitation is an important step for the democratic process and our party welcomed the delimitation process in UT of J&K. “It was very long pending demand of the Jammu and Kashmir people for setting up of delimitation Commission,” he said. Recently an announcement has been made by the government for the appointment of members of the delimitation Commission in which Farooq Abdullah, Mohammad Akbar Lone, and Justice (retd) Hasnain Masoodi (NC) have been nominated as members of the Delimitation Commission. Singh strongly condemned this move of NC leadership and said that erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir had suffered a lot from the last seven decades in which NC was in power and did nothing for the welfare of the people that’s why different areas of the Jammu and Kashmir are not developed. After the removal of Article 370 and reorganization of UT of Jammu and Kashmir a new ray of hope has developed for the interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir but how cunningly the leadership of National Conference playing with the sentiments of Jammu and Kashmir people is very strange and somewhere NC leadership is targeting democratic setup of the country, he said.
