STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Keeping prevailing situation in mind, where social distancing is the only way to avoid spread of coronavirus and respecting present lockdown orders, Natrang Jammu observed ‘World Theatre Day’ in a unique manner by organising a ‘Video-Conference’ with a title ‘Theatre From Distance’ of its senior functionaries, which was initiated by Director Natrang, Balwant Thakur. It is pertinent to mention here that like many other eminent feats, Natrang pioneered celebration of ‘World Theatre Day’ in J&K since 1985 and continued this tradition till date by holding seminars, presentations, festivals and events to mark the day. Speaking on the occasion, Thakur stated that in wake of COVID-19 outbreak, this year we are deliberately omitting the word ‘celebration’ and as a mark of solidarity, we are observing it by keeping Social Distancing intact. Natrang artists who participated in the conference included Suresh Kumar, Mipham Otsal, Neeraj Kant, Anil Tickoo, Sanjeev Gupta, Vikrant Sharma, Sumeet Sharma, Aarushi Thakur, Mohammad Yaseen and Gauri Thakur.
