STATE TIMES NEWSJAMMU: Muzaffrabad PoK Refugees Welfare Society (MPoKRWS) Punjab paid rich tributes to all martyrs of 1947 genocide from Muzaffrabad district during a meeting.Speaking on the occasion, President of Society, Harbhajan Singh Kashmiri welcomed latest decision regarding re-registration of PoJK DPs of 1947 with R&R Commissioner (M) on behalf of 5,300 families residing outside J&K. He said, “Still there are some announcements yet to be made by Modi Government like ultimate purpose of issuing Domicile Certificates to all DPs residing outside J&K UT, if only job seekers require DC.” “5300 PoJK DP families of 1947 residing in other States of India are still awaiting a word of promise from higher authorities like MHA and a representative like Dr Jitendra Singh for including them in relief package. We are not suspecting sincerity of promise of Centre or J&K government but there is urgent need to include them for correcting the mistake done earlier,” he asserted. Harbhajan further demanded early announcement, from both Union and J&K Governments, regarding inclusion of 5000+ families of PoJK DPs of 1947 living outside J&K in relief package as justice delayed is justice denied. Others present were Harbans Singh Mahalwee General Secretary, Jaswant Singh, Khushbir Singh, Udham Singh and Paramjit Singh.
